Horton Media chose WebAlive to create the framework for their unique business model that would bring suppliers, publishers, and consumers under one umbrella. Publihub is an ecommerce business model that includes a powerful and robust administrative section which supports multiple satellite sites through a dynamic portal.
This is basically an inventory management system where individual product suppliers place their product in the portal and publishers across the country promote selected products from the portal by their individual website to the consumers.

Horton Media is Australasia’s largest cold-set web printer with modern plants in Auckland, New Zealand and Queensland, Australia. The company caters primarily to independent publishers of high-frequency news publications – a segment that has grown rapidly with the increasing size and diversity of its main markets.
Publihub realised that a print media platform would provide a great way for networking with the potential customers. To accomplish the purpose, Publihub would need a picture-perfect portal combining good design and robust programming to help the suppliers efficiently streamline their product promotion and distribution process.
The system would be capable of driving online sales through an established network of publishers via an e-commerce portal. It would work like a hub and spoke configuration where the hub is the product listings (or e-commerce store) and the spokes are the links to individual websites in various regions.
WebAlive proposed their powerful and robust ecommerce platform ‘WebCommander’ to Horton Media after analysing their high-end business requirements as the platform has the capability to fulfil the project objective as well as future enhancement plan.
WebCommander allowed different groups of publishers to display and manage the production and distribution process. This was possible through an API (Application Programming Interface) specially written for fulfilling the business needs of Publihub. Finally, the API successfully manages overall complicated processes and allows the users to uninterruptedly update and remove their products from the live site.
Immediately after launching the Publihub portal, the client expressed their appreciation and satisfaction towards WebAlive’s design and development team for fulfilling the project objective. Additionally, they have expressed their satisfaction with their overall user experience which visibly echoes the reliability and the flexibly of the systems which gave them the ability and confidence to generate increased revenue.
